How I spent Sunday morning

I had to drill a thru hole in the buttstock.
The drill bit maintained height perfectly but managed to creep out to the right about 1/8". Not perfect but close enough. Now the shaping part begins.

Had to say no to being the driver all day.
People just want to keep me working doing chores they should do themselves.
A twenty year old girl doesn't need a babysitter and should have been driving years ago.Is that maple?

It's the same walnut the forend is made out of. The things that look like birdseyes are oil splatters that got on it when I air hosed oily chips off my mill. I know, kind of careless of me. Going on a MKII I have. Unless Greg talks me out of it.

Those oil spots will come out as you sand during shaping so you should be all good. 👍🏻
