Vehicle mount holster?

Because of my size, and the fact I like to wear my seatbelt, drawing from my CCW while in my vehicle isn't easy.
I was curious if anyone here uses some kind of vehicle mount for a pistol.

When I lived in AZ, I made a leather holster attachment connected to my trucks manual floor shifter. It would allow easy, fast access to my .45 caliber Colt Commander.

I've thought about it. But being I have company vehicle I don't want anything prementaly attached. So I just keep it in my work bag on the passenger seat next to me.

There are issues of course, leaving a firearm in a vehicle unattended is worrysome.
I have tinted windows that will help from prying eyes, but it's definitely something else that has to be taken into account.

Mount a lock box in the cab for when you cannot have the firearm on you.

Appendix carry.
I can get to mine while seated in the car seatbelt fastened just as fast as standing.

More guns is the answer. You don't want to take your carry out of your IWB holster while in the vehicle because you might have to bail quick... and you want it on you. There are all kinds of ways to get kydex retention holsters like a safariland ALS mounted into your rig.

Well I figured I'd leave the full sized pistol in the vehicle, and the compact on me.
