  • Copycat Frank's Red Hot Sauce

This has the nickname teaspoon hot sauce. Simply measure everything in teaspoon measurements and you have your own homemade hot sauce. For convenience, use an empty bottle from previously store-bought hot sauce and put your own in.

    10 teaspoons water
    10 teaspoons white vinegar
4 teaspoons hot pepper powders (cayenne, chipotle, smoked pepper, etc.)
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon salt

Mix all ingredients, and store in old hot sauce jar or bottle.

    • Milder sauce, use 3 teaspoons hot pepper powder.
    • Hot sauce, use 4 teaspoons cayenne pepper, or 3 teaspoons cayenne + 1 teaspoon chipotle powder.
    • Extra hot sauce, use 5 teaspoons powder. It gets hotter the longer it sits.
