Shooting weak side

I'm a righty and have tried shooting weak side a few times over the years but didn't pursue competence as it felt so unnatural.
I am looking to learn to shoot weak side due to some recent developments that have effected my right eyesight.
I am looking for any tips to make the transition less painful.
My rifle is right hand and I am looking to keep right hand as trigger puller and left support.
