If anyone is looking for Air rifles post finds.

Target Talk is one of the better forums for Air Rifle.
Found an Anschutz 8001 listed today.
$1100 and just a month old.
This was a $1500 rifle last Summer.
The butt plate assembly alone is about a $280 upgrade. An Anschutz 2001 SSP single stroke Pneumatic is more what I am looking for.
Found one for $685 but it is in the Netherlands. No go for foreign stuff.http://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=54346
No fooling with tanks with the SST and you get a bit of light recoil which will help keep the feel of a light centerfire

I have heard that the recoil on air rifles is reverse of what it is on conventional rifles. I have also heard that the reverse recoil can trash some expensive scopes. Is there any truth to either of these?

@dddoo7 The break action Beeman I shot at the Pawn shop earlier in the week felt like my AR or 22LR.
I should have bought it but they didn't have any 22 caliber pellets.
The local Academy had about 5 different types of 22 and 177 pellets.
There was also a 5R Mil Spec at the shop.
Air Rifle now has to be considered because we may put our place on the Market later this year.
No Guarantee I can afford a big enough place to shoot if we move closer to town. 5 Acres and a decent House is going to be around $200k and I doubt that there will be 500 acres of vacant woods behind me like we have now.

Both are true for piston air rifles.
