Subway Sweet Onion Chicken Terriyaki Sauce (copycat)


  • Ingredients:
    1/2 cup honey
    1 tablespoon minced white onion
    1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
    2 teaspoons white vinegar
    1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
    1 teaspoon brown sugar
    1 teaspoon buttermilk powder
    1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
    1/8 teaspoon poppy seeds
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1 pinch black pepper
    1 pinch garlic powder

    Combine all the ingredients in a small pot, heat mixture over medium-high until the mixture boils rapidly. Turn off heat, whisk well, cover and cool.

    Mix with your meat of choice, marinade 30+ minutes (overnight for best flavor saturation) and serve hot or cold on your favorite sandwich bread or over rice.
