I called them today and they said that they have a digital version but not HD.
Our friend Gavin of UltimateReloader.com has a new tool — the second generation Lyman Borecam. This upgraded version features higher-resolution 300K output so you can better see details inside your barrel. This digital borescope can also be used to inspect the interior of dies and other tools. Illumination, via LED, is adjustable. Record still images with the push of a button. The screen resolution for the latest Lyman Borecam is now 600×480, roughly 300,000 pixels (300K).
Thought I would give an update on ultrasonic cleaning of 22lr suppressor. The suppressor had 750 rounds put through it since last cleaning. I soaked in CLR for 5 days then put in Ultrasonic cleaner for 45 minutes.
I am not sure it needed the full 45 minutes. This method is working quite nicely. I will need to do this to a center fire suppressor very soon to see the results.
Every single gun control debate should go like this:
Anti-gunner - "We need to ban guns!!!!"
Pro-gunner - "Is it illegal to kill people?"
Anti - "yes"
Pro - "Illegal to kill people with, anything?"
Anti - "yes"
Pro - "Then if it's already illegal to kill someone, how can it be MORE illegal to kill someone with a gun and how is a law of ANY kind going to stop it when they are already breaking the most sacred of laws?"
The ENTIRE discussion around gun control is flawed from its inception, and the stupid shit is perpetuated by idiots on BOTH sides.
That is almost a word for word quote from a sheriff I worked for in AZ.
I have shot about 3 years with a can. I cannot imagine going back to shooting without one. I would still shoot...but would not enjoy it nearly as much.
I have to warn you though...it is addictive. One can will not suffice. I have a folder full of form 4's...and I thought one or two cans would be plenty.
Wow, very surprising. I didn't read through too many of the comments, but the few that I did read weren't super crazy either. I hope this becomes a trend. I've grown way too tired of one sided stories.
One option we have seen work well at the shop I work at is the Silencerco "Easy Trust." $139 is affordable, and I figure since Silencerco is a large driving force behind the Hearing Protection Act, they have some spiffy suit lawyers that helped make sure it is valid. But...Silencerco is going hipster, so who knows what their lawyers wear.
When I had my trust created, I went through guntrustlawyers.com, and paid a lot more. Silencerco's option didn't exist at the time.
After you get a few more rounds through it, put my name on one. I would like a good takedown for my 40x.
I prefer black...but I can get the fde one coated while I wait for the ATF to decide that I can take it home.
The new form 4
Some more info
I have a 22-L from thunderbeast for .22 and really like it. It is 100% titanium and is a sealed can. I dip the can once in a while to clean it. After about 24 hours it quits fizzing and when dry returns to its original weight. I might have to try a takedown at some point too...we will see.
I also have a 22-S in atf purgatory. I haven't shot it yet to see how it compares...but I got a crazy good deal on it so I thought I would pick up a second so I have one for my rifle and one for my pistol.
